Standing at the barricade that blocked access to the front of the tree was the Channel 12 News team and Professor Folkvar. Jenny Park had blond hair and wore a navy blue jacket with the TV station's logo on it. In front of her was the cameraman, and to his right was a producer who struggled to balance a clipboard, and pin a small microphone onto the lapel of the professor's coat.
"This is Jenny Park with Channel 12 News. We are standing in front of what many people are calling the Christmas Miracle Tree. The number of people coming to Prescott, Arizona, daily to see this marvelous tree is unprecedented. Analysts had predicted a lackluster Christmas season because of the recent economic turmoil. But many people have been out shopping and attending various holiday events due in large part to a more hopeful feeling, which many experts have attributed to the tree. Prescott has long been heralded as Arizona's "Christmas City' and this event will surely guarantee that designation will be in the history books. Highways into Prescott are clogged and the airport is landing planes every 10 minutes as people arrive from all over the globe to see the Christmas Miracle Tree.
